Over 20,000 runners took to the road for the eighth annual Mandela Day Marathon.

Xoliswa Radebe completed 21km in

This iconic race was held on August 25, starting in Pietermaritzburg and ending at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site in Howick.

Some of the Estcourt Athletic Club runners that
participated

The three distances were 42.2km, 21.1km and 10km. Local runners also hit the tarmac to be part of this race.

Zinhle Khumalo and Bongi Khumalo were part of the hundreds of runners that participated in the Mandela Marathon on Sunday.

Forderville Athletic Club’s Tina Sewgoolam ran her
1st 42.2km marathon in a time of six hours. The club
is really proud of her. She is pictured with her proud
