- After climbing 1,000 feet in elevation over six miles, Albusaidi Yousuf tumbled in style toward the line—with a triple back handspring and back flip—at the UTMB Oman 10K.

The 10K race was part of the larger , which offers 10K, 5K, and 2K races for beginners and short-distance specialists, as well as 50K, 130K, and 170K races for more advanced ultra runners. Runners competing in the 130K and 170K races had the opportunity to qualify for the Ultra-Trail Mont Blanc (UTMB)—one of the most challenging and competitive 171K ultramarathons in the world, which takes place in the late summer in the Alps—if they hit the necessary time goals.
