Allahabad: CCTV cameras installed at major crossings of the city would capture the high and low points of the 35th All India Prize Money Indira Marathon slated to be organised on November 19.
Over 2,400 long-distance runners from across the country are expected to participate in the 42.195-kilometre marathon.
Chief development officer (CDO) Prem Ranjan Singh said the district administration has made elaborate arrangements and assured better traffic control than last year. The participants will run with the computer chip attached to their shoes or clothes. “As per the rule of Athletics Federation of India (AFI), the chip is mandatory for marathon runners. These chips will record the timing of the runners,” the CDP added.
