End of the trail for Canal Connection | News LaSalle News Tribune
The work starts in February. It takes more than eight months to get everything ready — from permits to bus contracts to food arrangements.
Canal Connection participants run along the towpath along the Illinois and Michigan Canal during a past race. The annual 10K will end after this year, in part, due to a fee imposed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The fee takes 10% of the gross revenue collected for the race.
