Well, Mensa’s top-10 would have struggled to find that one……
Archie Watson’s Kheros sprang a proper surprise when he inched out Freckles in Newbury’s finale.
It looked like the Somme inside the final furlong but the winner buckled down well for young Pierre-Louis Jamin, who said: “He travelled well, stayed on strongly and was really tough for me.
“The ground helped him – more importantly I think it stopped the others!”
There were only three men and a dog here to watch the race but it’ll be a different story tomorrow. The sun’s coming out, Madness are playing and 20,000 punters are expected!

Andrew Balding could be getting the travel brochures out for that one…
Improving Game And Set could be off on a European vacation after winning Newbury’s sixth by clear water.
Deadly David Probert rode the winner and said: “She’s got lots of pace and improved for the drop back to 6f.
“She travels strongly, will progress and could be ready for a step-up in class.
“I’ve just been talking with Andrew (Balding) about a Listed race in Germany for her and that could be next.”
By the way, keep an eye on third placed Woodhouse.
Sir Michael Stoute would rather eat a jar of pickled eggs than see one of his newcomers have a hard race and this leggy filly showed plenty under a kid gloves ride from William Buick.

Hello Youmzain is set to return to action in next month’s Sprint Cup at Haydock for the first time since he finished third in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.
Kevin Ryan’s progressive three-year-old speedster also holds an entry in the Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes, but the son of Kodiac has yet to run over the minimum trip.
His races have been over further, with five of his six starts over the Sprint Cup distance of six furlongs.
Hello Youmzain showed his liking for the Merseyside track when lowering the colours of Calyx in the Group Two Sandy Lane Stakes in May, before going on to take minor honours behind Advertise at Royal Ascot.
“At the moment he’s going to go for the Haydock Sprint Cup,” said Bruce Raymond, racing manager to owner Jaber Abdullah.
“He’s in very good form. I think he likes a but of cut in the ground so he should get it there.
“I don’t think he’s going to York. I’d be surprised if he went there.”
