For 2020, due to development works at Bath Quay, race organisers are   having to divert the course around the Ambury and Corn Street, and the position of the start/finish line will be adjusted to maintain the measured distance.

With all that in mind here are some suggestions about where the best viewing places are:

Great Pulteney Street

As the start of the race is in Great Pulteney Street this is undoubtedly going to be a very busy place to be.

Many supporters will want to give runners an early cheer as they set off and will be around here. If you don’t mind the crowds then this is a good place to be.

If you want a good spot then arrive at least an hour early here.

There are also many cafés close by which could provide some welcome respite – including Garden Café, in the Holburne Museum, Bridge Coffee Shop, Time Out Espresso bar and Society Cafe.

These include Forum Coffee House, Bridge Coffee Shop and Mokoko Coffee.

Green Park

Another beautiful spot to watch the runners is Green Park – you’ve got Sainsbury’s close by if you want to pop in for some last minute blister plasters.

After the race, Green Park Brasserie can offer you a perfect place to grab some food -it’s also sheltered so a chance to escape the light rain that is expected.

They do an early dinner menu where you can get 2 course for £14 or three courses for £18.

Queen Square

Still in the action, Queen Square is close to lots of cafes and shops.

Royal Victoria Park

One of Bath’s most famous land marks – Royal Victoria Park – is a great spot for people to watch the running mayhem – especially if you don’t like the crowds.

The large space means there is room for everyone – especially families who may need to nip to the local public loos.

There is also a childrens play area.

Upper Bristol Road

There are two laps out along the Upper Bristol Road and Newbridge Road so this is sure to be a busier location.

There is the Victoria Pub and Kitchen along the road – a good place to grab some food after the event.

Not to mention The Hop Pole – another gastro pub.

You could also walk across the Lidl footbridge and get a second view on Lower Bristol Road.

Newbridge Road

Newbridge Road will also be busy – but will give you a chance to see the runners.
