Her stable companion Bajan Excell won on heavy ground at Limerick last month and is of interest along with the ex-Irish Be Fair, who makes his debut for Tony Carroll.

GOOBINATOR has shown a fair amount of promise on both his starts to date and saw out an extended 1m4f well at Newcastle on his most recent outing. The first-time hood should help him settle better in the early stages and Donald McCain’s gelding can make it third-time lucky. Tranquil Storm appears the most obvious threat based on her second at Thirsk on her debut for Kevin Ryan, while Bella Amoura has a lot to prove having only beaten one home in a bumper at Huntingdon last month.

FIRST EXCEL is the only course winner in the field and shaped on his latest outing here over 5f as though the run was needed, with it being his first start since July. The seven-year-old was dropped 2lb for that effort and he is capable of getting his head back in front. Gupta ran well on his first two appearances here earlier in the year and the return to this surface might play to his strengths. Kodicat and Sir Hector appear best of the remainder.

YOUNG TIGER made it two on the bounce when defying a 6lb rise over C&D last month and despite the handicapper giving him another 5lb, Tom Tate’s gelding appears capable of landing the hat-trick. Miss Gradenko got off the mark at the fifth time of asking at Kempton 13 days ago and warrants respect along with six-time course winner Piazon, who has been knocking on the door recently.

ASTROZONE improved from her debut sixth at Beverley to hit the frame on her two subsequent starts, and she could have more to offer on her nursery introduction. Lady Nectar has to enter calculations based on what she has achieved in three appearances to date, while others to note include Lilkian, who has placed on his last couple of outings on the all-weather, and The Grey Bay.

MILLICENT FAWCETT was only just denied on her Newbury introduction back in the spring, but then missed the entire summer before reappearing at Newcastle just over a week ago. She was turned over at odds-on but the winner looks useful, and John Gosden’s filly can also make up into a decent performer in her own right. Mosakhar wasn’t far behind her at Gosforth Park so appears the primary threat, with former Gosden inmate Momtalik next best.

RISK MITIGATION was rewarded for some consistency in defeat with victory in a 1m4f classified event at this venue, and the addition of blinkers doesn’t need to prompt too much improvement back in handicap company. Mamdood didn’t get the rub of the green when attempting to supplement a Newcastle success at Wolverhampton, but has to compete off a 6lb higher mark now. Keith was third here a day earlier but occupied the same position behind Risk Mitigation prior to that and is only marginally better off at the weights.
